I can't believe I watched that whole thing...

really, I don't know why I did..how long was that? I don't even know? I guess I could have turned it off, but I though something cool would have happened at the end, it got a lil gay at the end, so I guess it was worth it. ;P

the only artist's skit I really cracked up at was Marc M.'s because of the random placement of the intro to Pearl Jam's Jeremy song at the end of each skit cos it was so fucking random.

the character designs were...appealing and fun to look at, but if I'm gonna base my review on the actual animation of it and the content, I can't really give it a high score because there was hardly any animation, and it wasn't super entertaining the entire time, and I don't give a shit if others vote this as a useless review or talk shit to me for not liking something done by the NG celebrities. I don't care if this was supposed to be shitty on purpose I'm gonna review it like I see it, so there.

for your first attempt at animation it was pretty good, but obviously not perfect. The humor worked though, I laughed.

but if you want to improve on the animation itself..it looks like you did a cut out animation and not fbf..with cut out animation, the more smooth you want the animation, you either gotta have a lotta nice motion tweening or have lots of puppet parts..I noticed with some of the arm gestures It was one arm piece and then it abruptly cut to another arm piece..so you would need to do some more inbetweening..with cut out animation you'd have to have a piece that would fit inbetween two different poses, like with the arms....so the movement looks more natural..like at the end when the dad clenches his fist it looked with you had 1 frame with his hand opened, and the next frame it was a closed fist..to make it look more smooth you would need a frame in between that of the hand halfway closed.

but yeah that's the biggest critique I can give. needz moar inbetweeining..which is one of the most un-fun parts of animation...

and if you were allready aware of all that..sorry your wasting your time >_>;

pretty good!

overall it was a good piece! the animation was nice any smooth..my only critique was the arm swinging!! it just looked really weird they way they swung like noodles..it acted more as a distraction...

the humor was good in most parts..sure you've relied on using cliche'd stereotyped characters.. the super frenchmen, the flamboyant gay guys and the hippie stoner guy...which I guess..works..kinda..i think its a little tiring..but I could see how others would be entertained by it....and then there were some parts where you couldn't really tell where the humor/jokes were going...like the part with the Simpsons(?) guy...

other than that it was good!

It's unfortunate that Yotam has been drafted against his will and making a animation for him is nice...

but that was some pretty lousy animation..and wasn't very humorous at all..it's like the collabers didn't even try or just aren't very good to begin with..sorry to sound harsh but that's what I thought of it..the only decent parts where the transitions and scottwjsm's piece....

There wasn't anything special about the animation, but it was a nice lil tribute.

is it certain that he is really in the army now? Well if so, I hope Yotam does okay in the army, and dosen't see much action that could endanger his life. :(

My understanding is he's not out there doing any killing.
I suppose in the army there is always a risk, and I do truely hope he stays safe.

you have definately come a long way from some of your older work...the animation wasn't perfect, in some parts it was nice and smooth and in other parts it got kinda choppy, but over all it was pretty good...

interesting story.. i couldn't tell who to root for..i mean evolution is good but maybe in this context its bad...? but then there are the religious protesters..who are like the WBC but with style...hah i dunno...i guess in that crazy world you set up there aren't any "good" people around anymore?

far away from being a complete animation

this was more like a animatic that you had to manually play through or a comic still in the rough stages...the animation itself was minimal and the sketchy style came off looking unfinished instead of being a chosen artistic style..and there was not enough background music so it was pretty boring reading most of the dialogue...

the story seems interesting enough..this series seems to have a lot of potential but like I said it looks too unfinished right now. at least try to spiff up the drawings..maybe do a little more animation with the characters like more facial expressions and other simple things..it would add a lot.

I understand with the not enough background music. A lot of times throughout Chapter 1 it seems like it's a bit empty ambience-wise.

yeah the buildings were so small you couldn't see all the detail..you could have zoomed in and panned through the town so you could see things up close more, but overall it was a nice little animation! simple idea/concept but it was done well. :)

Yea. I was really torn when I realized that all the detail wouldnt be seen... but when I tried what you are talking about it started to look flat. I'd have to redraw all the houses in different perspectives if I wanted that effect.

I didn't read the description until after I saw it but I could tell it was rotoscoped..but it did have that "cheap" rotoscoped effect because of the style you applied to it turned out really nice and really enhanced the mood of the story. so yeah overall it was a really nice piece.

Yeah, the rotoscoping was really just for the line drawing and the main keyframes, then I'd render the drawings with more detail and inbetween them. There's only so much you can get from bad video footage. :)

really fun concept! I used to be able to quote every word in the mission were the bomb is planted at the base and you have to fight Starwolf and his cronies..and the "Its quiet..too quiet" is prolly my favourite quote over "DO A BARREL ROLL" haaa..and i too would randomly use quotes from that game in my everyday dialogue...
